$35 per ticket

The 26th concert in the York Place Musical Salon.

Songs of Nature to Celebrate Spring

About the Event

Soprano Jennifer Rasor and pianist Dagmar Kilian return to the Salon for their annual exploration of beautiful art songs. This program features Mädchenblumen, Op.22 composed by Richard Strauss in 1888. These four songs contain soaring lyricism, beautifully reflecting varying moods: a flowing melody for the cornflower, lively brilliance for poppies, clinging sentiment for ivy, and delicate fantasy for the water lily.

Also on the program is selections from Twelve Poems of Emily Dickinson composed by Aaron Copland in 1950, and lullabies and serenades from around the world.

Tickets will be released on Thursday, January 16, 2025.
