A passionate amateur pianist from a young age, Michael acquired the instrument in 1989, and it has been a difficult piece of furniture ever since! Built in 1986 in Schwelm, Germany, the piano was crafted by Ibach, then the world’s oldest operating piano manufacturer. Pianists who perform on it consistently remark on the beauty and richness of its tone. Michael plays the piano almost every day, and it is tuned and carefully maintained several times each year.
