Michael's beloved Ibach FII grand piano is the heart of the Salon. A passionate amateur pianist since a young age, Michael acquired the piano in 1989 and it has been a difficult piece of furniture ever since! It was built in 1986 in Schwelm, Germany by Ibach, at the time the oldest operating piano manufacturer in the world. Every pianist that plays it comments on the quality of it's tone. Michael plays the piano almost every day, and it is tuned and carefully maintained several times a year.
